Amundsen Omega 3 mascot

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

This little guy is a mascot for a brand of Omega 3 capsules marketed towards children. It was a commission for a design company in Bergen called Knudsen who asked me to redraw a sketch they had done to make it more animated. It was also my first try working with Inkscape, an Illustrator clone, which was sort of frustrating. Still I am kinda happy with this guy, he looks like he could star in a Dreamworks movie. Not a Pixar movie though, but I’m getting there.

Collectable stickers / business cards

Monday, May 10th, 2010

These collectable stickers featuring characters from my comic book fanzine are what I currently give people as my personal business cards. I grew up collecting stuff like this, so of course I couldn’t just make any old regular Batemanesque card. I make sure to print them in uneven numbers, so that some of them are common and some of them rare. There’s even a super rare secret card I’m not showing you, featuring a character from my comic books that has yet to make an appearance. Nerdy! :P Notice the cards read “Series 1″, foreshadowing even more unnecessary work in my future. Sweet.

Another Halloween illustration

Monday, March 1st, 2010

This illustration was sold for use on a banner, celebrating my favorite of festivities, Halloween. A holiday that has become strangely overrepresented on this blog. It was a perfect assignment for me, I love drawing kids in spooky costumes. The illustration was first drawn by hand, and then reconstructed in illustrator, to make it useful at huge proportions. As a bonus, I’ll post some of the rejected sketches of costumed kids. The first one might look familiar, it is my own halloween costume from two years ago. Sneaky.

Wow, longest post evar.

Hole in the Sky X

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

This is the logo for the tenth annual Hole in the Sky festival, a metal festival held in Bergen, Norway. This was created during my one month long internship at Kamikaze Media. The logo is based on a design used in previous years made by the company, but this years profile has a distinct royal style with a hand drawn crown, celebrating the festivals ten year anniversary. The font used is slightly modified Authentic Ink.

Pangea

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

This is a logo symbol I made during my one month long intership at Kamikaze Media. The symbol was used with a logo for a digital networking script made by the company.

Tomorrow ‘09

Thursday, September 24th, 2009

This is a logo for a fictional environmental conference made during a school assignment. The logo was part of a larger profile and is meant to change every year. The upper part of the exclamation point is meant to change with the theme of the year, and the lower with the location of the conference, this years theme being deforestation and the location being Nigeria.

15 ways to a greener lifestyle

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

This is a series of pictograms, or icons, each depicting a helpful suggestion to conserve energy or help reduce pollution. This was done as a school assignment and was called “15 ways to a greener lifestyle”. + 1 karma for the first person to guess what all of them are.

Hos Gaute

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

This logo was made for my friends in-development sitcom project “Hos Gaute” (At Gaute’s) and is a pastiche of the crappy sitcom logos from the nineties. The sitcom takes place in an apartement owned (but not lived in by)  the unseen character Gaute. The apartement is inhabited by a ragtag group of characters of indefineable definition and occupation.

Adventsbart

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

Adventsbart (Or advent moustache for you english speakers) is the traditional custom of growing an awesome ’stache in celebration of the coming holiday season. The rules are simple; from the first to the last sunday during advent, you let your upper lip hair growth prosper. This is a poster/flyer I made during last years Adventsbart celebration.

Nocturnal Emission

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

This is a logo for a band that I’m sort of in, except I don’t know how to play any instruments yet, but we do have at least three videogame inspired chiptune/powermetal albums planned. And now we have a logo. Neat!
